· The Church Office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day, July 4th.

HAPPENING THIS SUNDAY
· "Sunday Social on the Lake"!! Pack a picnic and join your parish family for lunch in the "Air-conditioned Parish Hall" after the 11:30a service on Sunday, July 5th for food/fun/fellowship. Contact Tammy Martellotto at tram56@austin.rr.com or 219-8214 for more information.
· Summer Sunday School continues at 10:15a. Offerings are as follows:
o Nursery is open to all children infant-4 years with fun summer activities;
o Children, Kindergarten-5th grade will meet in Big Room Riker for more “Rockin’ the Dock” fun on BLAST Island;
o Teens, 6th grade-12th grade will meet in the Parish Hall Couch Pit to “Stump the Priest” with Fr. Mike;
o Adults will meet in the Choir Room for an Alan Hansen Bible Study entitled “How to Lead a Person to Christ”;
· Lemonade on the Lawn: join us after the 9:00 a.m. service to enjoy a glass of lemonade and catch up with old friends or meet new ones!
· Please visit the Ministry of the Week table in the Narthex. Featured this week: the Sermon CD Duplication Ministry. We need help with this ministry, so if you’re interested, please call the office!
· Please visit the VBS table in the Narthex! There you will find DVDs, CDs and “all things VBS.” If you loaned anything to us for VBS and need it back now, please contact LoriAnn and we will get it back to you. We are leaving many of our decorations up for awhile. Also, the lost and found is in Riker Kitchen.
OTHER EVENTS, ACTIVITIES, OPPORTUNITIES, DATES, & DEADLINES
· Midweek Eucharist is held every Wednesday morning at 10a.
· The Guild of the Christ Child will meet for a playdate Wednesday, July 8th 10a-noon at The Austin Nature and Science Center on the western edge of Zilker Park. Bring a lunch for you and your children. For more information, please contact Laresa Hubbs at 401-3513.
· Christian Education—If you are interested in leading or assisting with one of the many fine programs we have for the children and youth of our parish, please call LoriAnn at the office at 266-2455, or e-mail her at lalavallee@stlukesonthelake.org . We have some exciting topics coming up—and if you’re not careful, you may learn a lot yourself!
· Calling All 6th-12th Graders!! The Acolyte Ministry Needs You!! Training for new acolytes will be held between the 9 and 11:30 services on July 12—meet at the Rock in the Narthex at 10:25a. Contact Kym Hall at 258-9200 or khall95950@aol.com with questions or to volunteer!
Free 8x10 Portrait and New Parish Photo Directory FOR YOU! Thanks to those of you who had your portraits made last week! On-line registration for portrait sessions for our new SLOL Photo Directory is now open - go to www.stlukesonthelake.org to register. Slots are currently available on July 14th and 15th. More slots will be available in September. Our goal is 100% participation! ALSO NEEDED! Host and hostesses to help during portrait sessions.
