NEW  Thanks from the Boy Scouts!!  A note from Keith Shaw, Troop 201 ASM:

"I want give you guys some feedback on the Scouting for Food collections from St. Luke’s.  First off, I am humbled by the generosity and caring spirit of the St. Luke’s family.  Members brought bags, even cases of food to our Scouting for Food table.  There were several instances of St. Luke’s members that went shopping after the Sunday service and immediately returned with food to donate.  How cool is that?  Others went out of their way to let us know they had forgotten their food and would bring it the following week.  And boy they did.  We collected well over twice the amount of food the 2nd weekend.  In all, St. Luke’s members donated over 350 pounds of food in addition to a very generous cash donation!

Note that all of your donations are going to Lake Travis Crisis Ministries to serve folks in need in our local community.  Please pass this on to your congregation.  Thank you for helping us in our Scouting for Food campaign and thank you for serving your community."

Save the Date: June 11-15th  VBS Holy Land Adventure: Babylon! Daniel’s Courage in Captivity Registration for volunteers and their children begins mid-February. We need you, so mark your calendars now!

On-Line Christian Storybook Product Evaluation As some of you know, former member of St. Luke's and long-time friend Walt Petticrew is launching  a new product, and has asked the St. Luke's family to help him evaluate it.  His product, LuvYaReader, uses Internet technology to allow long-distance loved ones to narrate, record and email Christian storybooks to the children in their lives. Please take a moment to get familiar with LuvYaReader [in its test form] here: http://luvyareader.beta.nexttestsite.com/index/index   By viewing or even narrating a few books for free, you'll understand what a wonderful opportunity LuvYa Reader gives to those seeking connection with their friends and loved ones through narration and story-telling. It is a time-honored tradition to read to one another (and especially to our children), and this virtual narration environment allows loved ones far and near to be present in word (and even song if you like) at any time.  We encourage you to take a test drive; all the books are free during this evaluation period. Then, Walt has requested that we pass along any feedback, good or bad, for his team to address. Walt is hoping to officially launch LuvYa Reader within the coming months and needs OUR help to make sure the product works well.  So please give LuvYaReader a try, then e-mail Walt your comments!  http://luvyareader.beta.nexttestsite.com/index/index
