VBS 2018

VBS 2018 – Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus

At St. Luke’s on the Lake!

             June 18th – 22nd, 9:00 AM - 12 Noon

Are you ready to venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive? You don’t have to be a grown up to know that everybody experiences storms and shipwrecks in life. But at St. Luke’s VBS this summer, we will learn that, no matter the circumstance, we can be rescued by Jesus. Register here!

Each day the Bible Point, Story, and Key Verse throw us a lifeline. You can help kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities:

  • experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures
  • sing catchy songs
  • play teamwork-building games
  • devour yummy treats
  • make crafts that even boys love
  • test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.

Our volunteers range from age 11 (rising 2018 sixth graders) to 111! After you register as a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to register your child or sibling (volunteers’ kids get to register early). Open Registration for all, begins March 1st.

If you already know that you want to help this year, please click here and get started! Otherwise, read on for more information.

YOUTH: please have name and email addresses for your three references: school teacher/coach/counselor, non-parent/sibling family-related adult, and another non-family adult (i.e. LoriAnn/Jimmy).

Note that we have streamlined our volunteer registration extensively; please contact LoriAnn if you have any questions.

Every volunteer who registers by March 1st will receive a special gift.

It takes a total of about 150 volunteers to serve the 225+ kids attending VBS each year. Please pray about how you might help us with this extraordinary outreach effort as we share God's love.

We especially need adults and youth during the week of June 18th - 22nd, to serve as family leaders and helpers by shepherding a group of five to seven children from station to station. As such, you will share in meaningful traditions and rituals—and build relationships! So please consider giving us all week or even just a couple of days.

Feel free to contact us by e-mail, phone, or in person if you have any questions. Or if you are ready to sign up, please fill out Volunteer Staff Registration Form

Please prayerfully consider your role in bringing this experience to life!!
