Set high on the cliffs of Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church is known far and wide as "The Church With The View".  We invite you to come and see for yourself.

From where we sit at St. Luke’s we do have a spectacular view, not only of God’s magnificent creation, but also…

  • of His amazing love for each and every one of us
  • of His deep desire to connect with us and to connect us to others
  • of His awesome power to transform lives

Founded over 50 years ago as a mission church in a bait shop near Anderson Mill, St. Luke's has grown into a dedicated congregation of over 400 families, with members of all ages and stages of life.  We know God’s vision for us goes far beyond our view.  Please bring your entire family to come and see our view anytime.  You may just “come for the view…stay for the family.”  We hope so.

You have to experience it!

June 17 - 21, 2013

You have to experience it!

Step back in time—to see what life was like in Athens, when the Apostle Paul traveled on his Second Missionary Journey!

Just imagine…

·    Exploring authentic traditions,

·    Building strong relationships with other family members,

·    Trying new crafts and games,

·    Smelling and tasting new foods, and

·    Learning from Paul, who risked his life and gave up everything – all to share the amazing truth of God’s immeasurable love for us!

.

Everything…from the music to the costumes to the Marketplace crafts…

absolutely everything has the look, feel, and flavors inspired by ancient Athens.

This summer, come be a part of the vacation Bible school at St. Luke’s on the Lake during June 17th-21st.

We’re praying that this awesome VBS program will touch children’s hearts and lives with his love. Join in the mission of helping kids in our community discover that:

·    God loves us all.

·    God loves us and takes care of us all.

·    God loves us when others don’t.

·    God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus.

·    God loves us and wants us to share his love.

As we plan and prepare for VBS2013 Athens, our team cherishes your prayers.  Will you pray that God grants us wisdom in planning? Please pray for the right staff members to join our team. And also pray that God begins working in the hearts of the children who will visit Athens!

Click here to find out more about volunteer job opportunities or Click here to register as a volunteer.  You will see that it takes a lot of hands to transport us back into ancient Athens.

Please take a look and volunteer where you can. We need YOU!

Registration is now open to everyone!  Click here to register your child.
