Advent Word 2025

Several years ago, we started writing St. Luke's on the Lake AdventWord devotionals. More information about #AdventWord here. The Advent devotionals we wrote in 2021 are here. AdventWord devotionals are posted on both our St. Luke's Facebook page here and our Instagram page here.

We would love for you to write an Advent devotional this year! The 2025 AdventWords are here, in a shareable google document. Please add your name in the box next to the word you would like to use to write a devotional. A devotional is between 100-250 words long (no longer please, social media posts have a strict word limit). You can add your own scripture, or we can help you find an appropriate one. We came up with the images that accompanied most of the devotionals last year, but if you find one you really like, we'll use it! You can also use poetry, music, or art to express your word, just be sure to reference the artist or author if it is not your own original work. Devotionals are due by November 15th in order to format them. The first Sunday of Advent is November 30th.

Let us know if you are willing to participate in this project. It is a very enjoyable and meaningful Advent practice.
